Maintenance Technician

Muskegon, Michigan

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team! The candidate selected will perform primarily in field service of customer equipment, for Machine Ethics in Muskegon, Michigan and surrounding areas. This role requires a highly experienced equipment repair technician. The technician is also responsible for thorough reporting, and communications with customers and business operations personnel. This position requires demonstrated expertise and experience, tenacity and motivation to accomplish the requirements of a growing company, with emphasis on stellar customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Understand and demonstrate the values, vision and mission of Machine Ethics
  • Perform troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Repair issues associated with hydraulics, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC and CNC
  • Accurately report details of job functions in a timely manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance

Other Necessary Skills

  • Comprehend electrical, hydraulic and other prints with attention to detail
  • Experience with a variety of CNC machine controls a plus
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management and customers
  • Leadership and supervision experience helpful

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine rebuild, repair and/or engineering
  • Ability to demonstrate required skills with hands-on evaluation during interview process

Controls/Electrical Technician

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team! The candidate selected will perform primarily in field service of customer equipment, for Machine Ethics in Muskegon, Michigan and surrounding areas. The technician is also responsible for thorough reporting, and communications with customers and business operations personnel. Demonstrated expertise and experience, tenacity and motivation to accomplish there requirements of a growing company, with emphasis on stellar customer service are great skill traits we are looking for.

Preferred Abilities

  • Understand and demonstrate the values, vision and mission of Machine Ethics
  • Perform troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Repair issues associated with hydraulics, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC and CNC
  • Use electrical prints specifically related to metal working machines
  • Read or write control logic for new machine builds (Preferred)
  • Accurately report details of job functions in a timely manner
  •  Can work with 3 phase power. Can hook up machines, tap transformers, Run conduit and wire.
  • Troubleshoot contactors, prox switches, relays, etc.
  • Comprehend electrical, hydraulic and other prints with attention to detail
  • Experience with a variety of CNC machine controls
  • Ability to read and interpret Ladder Logic
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management and customers
  • Leadership and supervision experience helpful

Qualifications

CNC Setup Machinist

Muskegon, MI

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team! The candidate selected will perform primarily in machining with manual and CNC machines, for Machine Ethics in Muskegon, Michigan and surrounding areas.

Preferred abilities

  • Understand and demonstrate the values, vision, and mission of Machine Ethics
  • Can read a print or drawing and machine a part from the print.
  • Understand feeds and speeds for drilling, milling, sawing, etc.
  • Can write a G code program from start to finish.
  • Experience with a variety of CNC machine controls.
  • Willing to do machine repair on industrial machines when asked.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management and customers
  • Must be comfortable with measuring devices. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Ability to use CAM software is a plus.

Qualifications  

  • 5 years of experience in machining with manual or CNC machines is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate required skills with hands-on evaluation during interview process.

Facility Maintenance Technician

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our growing team! The candidate selected will perform general cleaning of our shop. Sweep and mop floors, vacuum, wipe down walls and counter tops. Mow lawns and do general lawn maintenance. Painting. Snow plowing.  Assisting other technicians when more than one person is required on machine repairs .Driving to pick up parts or deliver.

Preferred abilities

  • Understand and demonstrate the values, vision, and mission of Machine Ethics
  • Must own all necessary tools
  • Mowing and lawn maintenance.
  • Can drive a lift truck
  • Painting
  • Auto repair experience a plus.
  • Any type of maintenance experience is helpful.
